Payroll Coordinator  Procom KW is seeking a Payroll Coordinator with three years multi-jurisdictional experience. This position is with one of our clients in the financial services sector.

Payroll Coordinator Job Details

The successful candidate will be a part of the Payroll Services team and assist in day to day payroll and administrative activities. This is a fast-paced team working with high volumes regularly.
Payroll Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Calculate and process transactions included in the Gross to Net payroll including:
    • regular pay (salary);
    • incentive payments;
    • one-time payments;
    • termination pay (voluntary & involuntary);
    • vacation on termination;
    • leave payments;
    • overpayments & recovery,
    • voluntary deductions;
    • garnishments;
    • employee tax set-up;
    • record of employee (ROE), etc;
  • Payroll processing including: semi-monthly timesheet processing and adjustments;
  • Research, resolve and respond to escalated payroll enquiries;
  • Ad-hoc duties as instructed.

Payroll Coordinator Mandatory Skills

  • CPA or APA Certification or in progress;
  • Canadian Payroll Designation;
  • 3 or more years of multi-jurisdictional and high volume experience in a large scale company;
  • Working knowledge of payroll processing, tax principles, wage & hours legislation;
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and ADP;
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to focus in a busy environment;
  • Good verbal & written communication skills;
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, efficiency and ability to handle multiple priorities;
  • Ability to follow complex verbal & written direction and instructions.
